Kuwait: The match between the Najima Handball Team in Bahrain and the Mudar Team in Saudi Arabia brought new excitement to the winner of the 38th Gulf Handball Cup. The match ended in favor of Najma 33-26. The match took place on Tuesday at the Sheikh Saad Al Abdala Halls Complex. Najma tops the first group with 2 points and Mudar has the same number of points but different goals. Salmiya remains meaningless in 3rd place. In the first group, UAE’s Al Jazeera won their first victory in a tournament with Muscat Teams 27-26.
Thursday semifinal
There are no matches on Wednesday. The semi-finals will take place on Thursday when the first team in Group 1 meets the second team in the second group. Also, the first team in the second group will play against the second team in group 1, and the winner will compete for the title on Sunday. The loser will play 3rd and 4th on the same day. Meanwhile, Najima team goalkeeper Mohammad Abdelhussein congratulated the team’s fans on the victory and added that “it was difficult to get through the first match against the Madal team.”
