A video of a teenage girl being violently attacked by three other teenagers in a parking lot in Buangkok went viral earlier this week.
Videos posted to @sgfollowsall’s Instagram account on August 16 and 17 show three girls in black t-shirts chasing down a victim who was sitting crouched against the wall of a parking structure. is shown.
The victim was wearing a white long-sleeved shirt and black shorts.
One girl grabbed the victim’s hair and punched him repeatedly on the head.
Another girl is seen grabbing the parking lot railing and kicking the victim several times. During this part of the attack, the victim holds his head.
At some point during the assault, the girl threw the slippers at the victim twice.
Two men in red shirts were seen hanging nearby during the attack, one of whom reportedly tried to help the victim.
Mothership’s report said a total of eight people were present during the assault, adding that relationship issues may have contributed to the attack on the victim.
Police said they were alerted to an assault on a teenager at about 9:25 p.m. Tuesday night at a parking structure in Block 269 Compassvale Link.
They said the victim and perpetrator were believed to know each other.
No other details about the attack have been released so far.
Three teenage girls were arrested for illegal detention.
They were also arrested for voluntarily causing injury.
The victim was injured in the assault, but was not taken to the hospital immediately, but was later taken care of by medical personnel.
