A man in his 50s was charged with attempted murder and personal injury after attacking them with a knife in Bjornevaton, Selvalanger last January.
Men and women in their 80s were stabbed. The man was stabbed in the head and neck several times, and the woman was stabbed in her left arm three times.
According to police, there is a close family relationship between the accused and the victim.
The prosecution believes that a man in his 50s was in a state of mental illness when he committed the aforementioned violence.
Therefore, according to the indictment, the Troms Og Finnmark prosecutor is demanding a compulsory transition to mental health care.
