In a new survey, 35.3% of Norwegians say they will vote in favor of Norway’s accession to the EU if a referendum is held tomorrow.

The survey was conducted by Sentio for the newspapers Nationen and Klassekampen.

The percentage of people in favor of EU accession has increased from 34.1% in the previous survey last November-and it hasn’t been high since April 2010. The percentage of those who oppose EU accession has dropped from 54.2 to 48.8%. The percentage of those who answered “I don’t know” increased from 11.8% to 16%.

“It’s very interesting that there is now clear progress in the direction of anxiety from people saying’no’,” Svainun Rotevaton, deputy leader of the Liberal Party (V) and EU supporter, told Nationen. Told.

“More people agree. I’m very happy from my point of view,” he added.

EEA agreement

Support for the EEA Agreement fell 0.2% to 64.9%.

The fact that many support the agreement complements the fact that Norwegian work life, Norwegian energy policy, and the transport sector are improving, says Center Party leader Marit Earn. Stud said.

She believes it is important to look for room for the EEA Agreement, in addition to studying alternatives on how Norway can relate to the Agreement.

Between May 24th and 30th, 1,001 representative samples participated in the survey.
