Ajax is reportedly approaching a deal to sell Eredivisie’s top scorer Sebastien Haller to Borussia Dortmund for around € 35 million.
The Bundesliga side is said to have provided € 33 million to the Côte d’Ivoire striker, while Ajax has € 38 million to a player who cost € 22.5 million when joining from West Ham United 18 months ago. Is requesting.
Haller, who turns 28 on Wednesday, scored 11 goals in 21 league goals and eight Champions League appearances last season. Dortmund needs a striker to replace the prolific Norwegian Arling Blaut, who made it to Manchester City for 60 million euros this week.
Ajax wants to reinvest some of the money it received for Haller to re-sign Brian Brobbey, which is currently rented from RB Leipzig, and may also buy Joshua Zirkzy from Bayern Munich. It is reported that they are considering it.
The 21-year-old forward is currently rented to Anderlecht of the Belgian First Division, scoring 16 goals in 38 league games last season.
Meanwhile, rival PSV Eindhoven has signed with Argentine goalkeeper Walter Benitez for a free transfer from Nice.
The 29-year-old Yvon Laundry will end its loan from RB Leipzig this summer.
“Walter is a very experienced keeper and has long proved his position at the highest level,” said technical director John De Jong. “He played almost 200 games for Nice and was often the captain of the team.”
