Buyers of apartments in the already delayed but nearly completed Housing Commission Clementi NorthArc Build-To-Order (BTO) project may have to wait longer to collect keys to their new apartments. I have.
The Building and Construction Authority (BCA) issued a work stoppage order to builders at the Clementi Northark construction site after Friday morning’s landslide damaged the Ulu Pandan Park Connector.
“BCA is issuing a work stoppage order to builders at the affected locations,” the BCA said in a Facebook post around 1 p.m.
“As an immediate measure, builders and technicians will need to implement slope stabilization measures and install monitoring equipment to monitor soil movement,” it said.
Friday morning’s landslide occurred at the Ulu Pandan Park Connector near the nearly completed BTO project.
BCA said its engineers and HDB engineers evaluated the nearby building and found it to be structurally sound.
It added that it will continue to monitor the situation closely.
