Britney Spears’ ex-husband Jason Alexander was arrested at the singer’s Los Angeles home while she was preparing to marry her partner Sam Asgari.

Ventura County Sheriffs officials later arrested 40-year-old Alexander in response to an incident of trespassing at his address.

A spokesperson for the agency confirmed to PA news agency that Alexander was arrested on a warrant outside the county and transferred from the scene to the police station after the incident.

It is understood that an intimate wedding between the singer’s 40-year-old and her 28-year-old fitness trainer’s partner was to take place on Thursday.

Shortly before the incident, her ex-partner Alexander posted a live Instagram story from near the property. There he said he was there to “crash” the wedding.

Spears and Asgari got engaged last September, and the singer joked that the proposal was “quite late.”

The 13-year adult guardianship system that dominated her life was terminated by the Los Angeles High Court last November.

“60 guests from a close circle” were scheduled to attend the ceremony on Thursday, according to sources quoted by the American publication People.

Spears has two children, Sean and Jayden, and his ex-husband Kevin Federline.

After getting married earlier that year, divorcing Federline in 2007 and Alexander in 2004 is the third trip to the singer’s altar.

In May, the singer announced the loss of “a miracle baby in early pregnancy.”

She revealed that she was pregnant a month ago, saying she took the test after Asgari made fun of her about “food pregnancy”.

According to TMZ, Spears’ brother Brian will attend the ceremony, but her sister Jamie Lynn and her parents will not.
