Ottawa: Canada announced on Wednesday that it would impose new sanctions on Russia, banning the export of 28 services such as accounting and advertising needed to operate Russia’s oil, gas and chemical industries.
According to a statement by Canada’s Foreign Minister Melanie Jolly, Canada’s new measures target industries that account for about 50% of Russia’s federal budget revenues.
Since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine on February 24, Canada has imposed sanctions on more than 1,070 individuals and groups, and Jolly says Ottawa “relentlessly pursues accountability for the meaningless war of Vladimirputin.” Said.
