Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said on Monday that he tested positive for COVID-19, adding that he has been well since he was vaccinated.

Last week, Trudeau met with US President Joe Biden and attended the Summit of the Americas in California. There, local leaders gathered to discuss issues affecting these countries, including immigrants.

“I tested positive for COVID-19. I will quarantine according to public health guidelines. I feel okay, but that’s because I shot,” Trudeau, now in Ottawa, said in a tweet. ..

Trudeau, 50, had previously tested positive for COVID in January. (Report by Kanishka Singh in Washington and Ismail Shakil in Ottawa, edited by Rami Ayyub and Bill Berkrot)
