Singapore: On Friday (17 June), the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) said a total of 146 suspected drug offenders were arrested in a two-week island-wide drug investigation.
During the surgery from June 6th to June 17th, drugs with an estimated value of S $ 55,000 were also confiscated.
According to CNB, about 28g of heroin, 234g of ice, 173g of cannabis, “small amounts” of ketamine and cocaine, 10g of new psychotropic drugs, 11 ecstasy tablets, 1 elimin-5 tablets, and suspicious liquids. The bottle was confiscated to contain the controlled drug γ-hydroxybutyric acid (GHB).
According to the CNB, some of the areas covered during the operation included Jurong, Mariparade, Senkan, and Yishun.
In one case, a CNB officer attacked a residential unit near Tampines Street 12. A 32-year-old Singaporean man was arrested early on June 8 on suspicion of drug crime.
About 18g of cannabis was confiscated from the unit along with various drug-related equipment.
During a follow-up on June 9, a CNB officer attacked another residential unit near Simei Street 3.
A 38-year-old Singaporean man was arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking and about 43 grams of cannabis and various drug-related equipment were confiscated from the unit.
Investigations into the drug activity of all suspects arrested are underway.
