(CNS): Cuban migrants detained at Fairbanks Customs and Border Control Immigration Centers are trying to flee due to growing frustration in overcrowded facilities. The CBC currently has about 180 immigrants in various locations, including those believed to be in the community. Officials said a tense situation occurred early on Friday and the boundary fence was repaired.

“The CBC continues to work with partner agencies, including the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) and His Majesty’s Cayman Islands Prison Services (HMCIPS), to manage the situation and maintain security,” officials said. Said in a short release.
