The Cork Jazz Festival continues on Saturday, with 40,000 people expected to attend the event in the city over the weekend after soaring ticket sales.

After being canceled due to Covid in 2020, the event has been in high demand, with a scaled-down version being held last year.

Over the Bank Holiday weekend, 30 ticketed events take place as part of the Jazz Festival. A total of 73 venues host events from Cork City to Kinsale.

Filmed at last night’s Guinness Cork Jazz Festival, the Bukka Brass Band capped off with swing and beats during a performance at the Cork Opera House on Friday night.

The festival was inaugurated by Taoiseach Micheál Martin on Thursday night.

In addition to events at various venues, there are jazz performances in the streets of Cork.

Organized by the local Cork Jazz Festival Committee, the line-up includes international and national acts such as New York Brass, Ramarot Jazz Band, Hyde Park Brass Band, Brass Kings, TBL8 Brass, Stomptown Brass, as well as Cork’s own Contains a code of conduct.
