The Ministry of Education announced that students applying for undergraduate scholarships do not have to meet the usual grade requirements.

The exemption is a “temporary COVID-19 measure,” a spokeswoman said compass needle on wednesday.

Education Minister Juliana O’Connor Connolly said in a press release that as a result of the pandemic, students “faced extenuating circumstances that prevent them from reaching their full potential.”
