AXA XL is pleased to announce that the 2022 AXA XL Scholarship has been awarded to 19-year-old Daniel Ossett.

“Daniel, 19, son of Jose Ossett and Addie Ossett of Smith Parish, will begin his second year at UBC this September. He plans to graduate in 2025 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. is.
“Passionate about mathematics and quantitative related subjects, Daniel is considering a career in risk management or as an actuary.
“During his first year at UBC, Daniel took all courses each semester and achieved above average grades in all courses. I volunteered to help with the orientation.
“Prior to UBC, he attended Saltus Grammar School where he excelled academically and achieved the highest number of IGCSEs in his 10th grade group. [Year 11] Includes top marks in Mathematics, Computer Science, French and Spanish.
“In his final year, despite a busy and demanding workload, he was named an honor student each semester, including achieving an overall GPA of 3.93 out of four and earning an ‘A’ grade in AP. rice field. [Advanced Placement] “A+” in Macroeconomics, AP Chemistry, AP Calculus, AP English, Ethics, and Spanish.
“During his tenure at Saltas, Daniel has earned various academic honors, including Marine Science, Computer Science, Spanish, and School Spirit Awards. Received the CPA Distinguished Student Award for his school spirit and commitment to the community.
“In addition to his academic achievements, Daniel is doing well outside of the classroom. During his senior year, he served as Co-President of Gold Key, a student-led organization dedicated to helping future parents. He is a member of the Saltus Debate Club and his team won the National Debate Championship in March 2020.
“Daniel has also represented Saltas in inter-school competitions in football, swimming, volleyball, cross-country, track and field and rugby, was named house captain in senior year, and also won the Darrell House sports award upon graduation.
“He won Bronze and Silver in 2017 and 2018 respectively, and this year he won Gold. Got.
