When the Norwegian Parliament (Storting) meets on September 19 to discuss the electricity situation, several officials are expected to demonstrate outside the building.

The main initiator of the protest is Industriaksjonen, and the demonstration will be in collaboration with the Facebook group “We demand cheaper electricity,” writes the Klassekampen newspaper.

According to the newspaper, the requirements of the protest were price ceilings for electricity consumption needed by households and industries, political controls on electricity exports to ensure security of supply, and agreements related to foreign cables to Britain and Germany. It is a renegotiation.

Boye Ullmann, leader of Industriaksjonen, told Energytt24, the Facebook group’s own online newspaper, that many people from political parties, organizations, businesses and individuals will participate.
