A 19-year-old Dutchman was arrested in the Netherlands in connection with the death of a Belgian resident who died after being thrown into a canal in Ghent over the weekend.

The Belgian prosecutor’s office has demanded the delivery of a Dutch suspect, and a second man involved in the case is still being searched.

Surveillance camera footage shows a 53-year-old victim, two Ugandan fathers living in Belgium, being grabbed and thrown from the Rausberg Bridge in the city center around 8 am on Sunday. Is shown.

According to Belgian media, the suspect escaped when the victim did not float on the surface of the water. Witnesses called an ambulance crew who pulled the man out of the water, but he was declared dead on the scene.
