Due to new insurance regulations for electric scooters, some rental companies have increased their prices by around 20%.

Starting Thursday, the government will require electric scooters to carry liability insurance just like cars.

“This requirement protects both rental companies and people who rent electric scooters, and at least third parties who may be involved in an accident through no fault of their own,” said Mette Gundersen, Secretary of State for the Ministry of Transport and Communications.
