Ajman, June 6, 2022 (WAM)-The Ajman Free Zone (AFZ) participated in the Spanish Mediterranean and African Special Economic Zone Summit from May 31st to June 2nd.

The Free Zone was represented by Bashayer Ali AlKumaitiAlShamsi, Executive Director of Strategy and Business Development, and Sheikha Abdulla Alnuaimi, Executive Director of Commercial Operations at AFZ.

AlKumaiti participated in a panel discussion entitled “The Growing Role of Special Economic Zones” while reiterating the importance of SEZs and their business implications from various perspectives.

She also emphasized the importance of SEZs during times of crisis, the role of SEZs in promoting growth in the Mediterranean region and forming a global value chain.
