Abu Dhabi, June 6, 2022 (WAM)-Aldar Properties has begun the third cycle of the Manasa Program. This is a 6-month incubator aimed at developing entrepreneurial talent in the United Arab Emirates, advancing the retail concept and becoming part of Alder’s thriving retail portfolio. ..

The program is being held in partnership with startAD, a global startup accelerator equipped with Tamkeen and moored in NYU Abu Dhabi.

As a global startup movement, Manassah 3.0 is based on the success of previous editions of the program. While the first edition of Manassah was aimed at UAE-based SMEs operating in retail, cafe and restaurant spaces, the second edition covers a wide range of tech-enabled startups and sustainability projects from across the GCC. It was aimed at retail businesses.

The latest version covers not only small businesses in the food service industry, but also retail products and services. Manassah 3.0 welcomes applications across retail SMEs, including cafes, restaurants, boutiques, wellness spaces and other unique store concepts.

Applications are accepted and the deadline for submission is August 28th. Winners will be provided with equity-free financial incentives and space for Alder’s retail destinations.

startAD and Aldar support participants by providing them with the tools they need to launch a venture. Companies accepted into the program will benefit from workshops and resources from the best professionals around the world, enabling entrepreneurs to quickly improve, improve and validate their business models, finances and brand stories.

Participants also gain unparalleled networking opportunities and access to the best local and global strategists and retail professionals.

Manassah has advanced 40 startups and concepts so far. This includes Coffee Architecture, Alkalime, and the first edition winner Wake n’Bake. All of this is realized at Aldar’s Mamsha Al Saadiyat. The second edition welcomes 12 finalists and 3 startups DesignHubz, Mr. Draper, IHearYou have secured a commercial project with Aldar.

Manassah is an initiative of the Aldar Youth Council and was initially submitted as part of Aldar’s Ibtikar Challenge. This is an in-house innovation program that encourages employees to play an active role in Aldar’s future growth and direction. The Aldar Youth Council was established in 2018 with the goal of actively empowering and encouraging Aldar youth, maximizing career potential and working with other Youth Councils across the country. ..

This year, Manasa welcomes respected partners such as the Harifa Foundation and Cloud Space. These partnerships enhance the program through workshops, mentorship, network access, referrals, and financial incentives.
