Dakar, July 7, 2022 (WAM)-President Moustapha Niasse of the Senegalese Parliament welcomed Judge Mohammed Abdelsalam of the Muslim Elders Council in the capital Dakar.

Judge Abbassalam’s visit aims to strengthen cooperation between the Council and leaders of Senegalese religions and communities.

Niase thanked the Muslim Elders Council and MCE Chair, Grand Imam of Al Azhar, and his prominent Dr. Ahmed Altaib. The Speaker of Parliament also said he would like to work with the Council to promote the true message of Islamic peace and coexistence in Africa and around the world.

Judge Mohammed Abbassalam praised Senegal’s efforts to promote coexistence on the African continent. Judge Abbassalam also thanked Senegal for his kind welcome and welcome and said he was looking forward to working with Senegalese authorities to promote coexistence and the fight against extremism.
