Dubai, June 22, 2022 (WAM)-International Bio-Sarin Agricultural Center (ICBA) launches a new e-learning platform offering specialized agricultural courses accredited by the UK’s Continuing Professional Development (CPD) accredited services I launched it.
The course is produced with the support of donors and partners, including the Environment Agency-Abu Dhabi (EAD).
The platform also provides access to courses designed in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) e-Learning Academy.
It features both advanced courses for professionals and professionals in land management, crop diversification, genetics, climate change modeling and adaptation, and intermediate courses for students and beginners.
The course is self-paced and includes presentations, videos, quizzes and reading material. Students will receive a certificate upon successful completion of each course.
Dr. Tarifa Alzaabi, Deputy Secretary-General of the ICBA, said, “The growing interest in online education today can create e-learning opportunities, especially in areas such as agriculture, food security and environmental sustainability. I think it’s important. ”

Since its establishment in 1999, ICBA has reached thousands from more than 100 countries through the provision of capacity development. The center offers technical training courses, peasant field schools, fellowships and internships. Special attention is paid to developing the abilities of young people and women through bespoke programs such as the ICBA Youth Engagement Society (ICBA YES) and the Arab Women Leaders in Agriculture (AWLA).
Many educational programs, especially for young people, are also offered by the Emirates Soil Museum at ICBA.
