The city government announced on Monday that the 20 industrial complexes will cover a total area of ​​300 square kilometers in the Baoan, Guangming, Longhua, Longgang, Hirayama and Kamiyama districts.
The move aims to develop and strengthen 20 strategic emerging sectors and foster eight industries in the future.
Strategic emerging sectors target telecommunications, semiconductors, intelligent terminals and sensors. It also covers software, intelligent robots, precision equipment and devices, new energy, intelligent connected cars, new materials, and biomedicine.
Future industries include synthetic biology, blockchain, cells and genes, space technology, brain science and intelligence like the brain, and quantum information.
