Seoul, June 18, 2022 (WAM)-South Korea has recorded 6,842 new COVID-19 infections in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases to 18,270,481.

In a statement released by Yonhap News Agency, the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA) said the country has caused 11 new deaths and increased the death toll to 24,427.

As of Saturday, 44.61 million (86.9% of the population) had completed two full doses and 33.34 million (65%) had their first booster dose.
