Rio de Janeiro, June 6, 2022 (WAM)-The Atlantic Ocean, the first name of the 2022 hurricane season, less than a week after the tropical cyclone Agatha struck the Pacific coast of Mexico and killed several people. Storm occurred off the east coast of the United States. The state and German news agency (dpa) reported.

According to the National Hurricane Center, the tropical cyclone Alex was expected to gain strength early on Sunday, head east towards Bermuda, and land late Sunday or early Monday. Heavy rains and floods have already occurred in parts of South Florida.

At least three people were killed in a storm in nearby Cuba, according to a tweet from Cheong Wa Dae on Saturday.

Dozens of homes were damaged and power outages occurred in Havana, the capital of Cuba, and in several states. Thousands have searched for shelters with friends and family, or evacuated to emergency accommodations.
