A jury for the international public tender to grant a concession for the Estoril and Lisbon casinos in the Estoril gaming zone has decided to reject the proposal presented by Bidluck.
Following this decision, the Estoril Sol Group, controlled by the descendants of Stanley Ho, will continue to operate both casinos in Portugal.
The group has provided €66 million to renew a concession that has been operated by Mr Stanley Ho’s family since the 1980s.
Presented at the launch of its online gaming site in Portugal as a bookmaker belonging to B-Lucky Entertainment BV registered in Curacao, Bidluck entered the competition to operate casinos in Estoril and Lisbon with 86 proposals . million euros per year.
Jorge Manuel Galvão Miguel, director of Leiria-based Bidluck SA, is currently on trial in the Viseu Court, charged with illegal exploitation of gambling.
The concession of Estoril and Lisbon gaming room Figueira da Foz was due to expire at the end of 2020, but has been extended for two years due to the pandemic.
