EastEnders actor James Bye said he’s made a “lifelong friend” with dance partner Amy Dowden. He became the fifth celebrity voted out of Strictly Come Dancing.
The 38-year-old, who has played Martin Fowler on BBC One’s soap shows since 2014, was caught in a terrifying dance-off with singer and broadcaster Fuller East after a live Halloween-inspired show.
Dressed as a beekeeper, Bye reprized Charleston to Bumblebee by Laverne Baker with professional partner Dowden dressed as a bee to impress the judges.

During Saturday’s show, Bye performed an unsuccessful lift during the dress rehearsal, but scored 27 for the routine, placing her at the bottom of the leaderboard.
