Singapore: Five new joint trial and vaccination centers (JTVCs) will open on Thursday (June 23).
Five new centers in Ammo Kio, Bukit Mela, Sengkang, Woodlands and Yishun bring the total number of such centers in Singapore to 10.
According to the Ministry of Health (MOH), these centers will provide Pfizer-BioNTech / Comirnaty and Moderna / Spikevax COVID-19 vaccines.
Novavax’s Nuvaxovid COVID-19 vaccine will be available at the former Bishan Park Secondary School Collaborative Trial and Vaccination Center.
“Individuals over the age of 12 can enter one of the JTVCs for vaccination and booster immunization,” MOH said.
Singapore added that the Raffles City Convention Center’s vaccination center will be closed on July 18 to “strengthen more JTVCs, consolidate resources and free up this space for other uses.”
The center will accept reservations and vaccinations by national reservation system until July 18.
MOH has previously announced that vaccination centers will be phased out and that the majority of the population will be vaccinated.
The Joint Testing and Vaccination Center was established to ensure that COVID-19 testing and vaccination services remain available to the general public.
