Singapore: A 14-year-old girl and an 84-year-old grandfather were found dead on Thursday (June 23) in two separate locations in Bukit Batok.

Police said they had been warned of an unnatural death along June 23 at 5:50 pm on June 23, along Bukit Butok West Avenue 6.

A 14-year-old girl was found lying still at the foot of the block and was declared dead on the scene by rescuers.

“Based on preliminary investigations, police are not suspected of cheating,” they said.

Police were subsequently warned about another unnatural death incident at a residential unit along Bukit Batok Street 31 at around 5:05 pm on the same day.

An 84-year-old man was found lying still with a wound on his chest. He was declared dead on the scene by a rescuer.

The Singapore Civil Defense Force (SCDF) said it was first requested for assistance at block 115 on Bukit Batok West Avenue 6 at around 5:05 pm.

Approximately five minutes later, SCDF received another request for assistance at Block 363, Bukit Butok Street 31.

Police said the teenager was the granddaughter of an 84-year-old man who lived in the same unit before he died and is investigating whether the two cases are related. Added.

“Police investigations into both cases are underway.”

When CNA visited Block 363 on Saturday night, most residents said they were unaware of the incident.

Those who knew the incident said they read it in the news.
