According to customs statistics, the foreign trade of Guangdong province in southern China will reach 6.1 trillion yuan (about US$850.8 billion) by the third quarter of 2022, up 1.3% year-on-year.
According to Guangdong Customs, exports rose 5.6% year-on-year to 3.89 trillion yuan, while imports fell 5.6% to 2.21 trillion yuan.
From January to September, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) remained Guangdong’s largest trading partner, with imports and exports surpassing 969.6 billion yuan, up 6.7% year-on-year.
During this period, Guangdong’s exports of mechanical and electrical products and labor-intensive products grew rapidly, and the province also increased its imports of agricultural products and crude oil.
