U2’s Adam Clayton and Edge presented the first Impact Ireland Award to former President and United Nations High Commissioner Mary Robinson on Thursday in front of an audience of many celebrities in Irish politics and business.
His event was hosted by Venture Wave Capital. This is an impact investment fund backed and advised by key figures in Irish business and diaspora. The dinner at the Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin was also addressed by Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin and former Irish Prime Minister Enda Kenny.
Guests included EU Commissioner Mairead McGuinness, CPL founder Anne Heraty, Trinity Provost Linda Doyle, Avolon’s Dómhnal Slattery, and Flutter’s Chairman Gary McGann.
