Harrison Ford got visibly emotional at Disney’s D23 Expo, debuting the teaser trailer for the latest installment in the Indiana Jones franchise.
The veteran actor was joined on stage by Fleabag star Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who will be joining him in the film, at the convention in Anaheim, California.
A short trailer, which has yet to be released, showed multiple action sequences, including Ford riding a horse through New York City and riding a subway train.
The chasing scene on horseback is believed to have been filmed in Glasgow, Scotland, where a Ford body double was spotted driving through the streets during filming last year.
Other scenes in the trailer also appeared to show a younger, aged version of the world-famous fictional archaeologist.
“Thank you… for giving me the opportunity to make these films for you,” Ford told the convention audience, his voice trembling.
“I am very proud to say that this is great.
“Indiana Jones films are about mystery and adventure, but they are also about heart.
“There are also really human stories that are movies that kick your ass.”
The yet-to-be-titled film, featuring a score by legendary composer John Williams, will be released on June 30, 2023.
It’s been over 40 years since Ford first landed a role in 1981’s Raiders of the Lost Ark.
