Harry Styles joked, “I went to Venice to spit on Chris Pine,” in response to a viral video at a world-famous international film festival.
He recently attended the festival for the premiere of Olivia Wilde’s psychological thriller Don’t Worry Darling, alongside Florence Pugh and Pine.
In a video that caused an uproar on social media, Styles was seen at the screening returning to her seat and bowing her head slightly, to which Pine, seated next to her, reacted with a confused look.

The video was widely circulated, but Pine’s representative told People that the idea that Pine had spat on him was “absurd.”
Styles has since returned to his U.S. tour, performing at New York’s Madison Square Garden on Wednesday night, filmed by a fan.
