Inflation in home prices slowed for the first time in almost two years.

According to the latest Home Real Estate Price Index, real estate prices rose 14.2% nationwide in the year to April, down from the seven-year high of 15.1% in March.

In Dublin, home prices rose 11.5% from 12.7% in March, while non-Dublin property prices rose 16.4% year-on-year.

Dublin home prices rose 11.3 percent and apartment prices rose 12.8 percent. Dublin’s highest home price increase was 12.7% in Dublin, while Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown saw a 9.0% increase.

Outside Dublin, home prices rose 16.4% and apartment prices rose 16.3%.

Areas other than Dublin, where home prices saw the largest rise, were 22.1% borders, while on the other side of the scale, Midwest home prices rose 11.7%.

The median homes purchased during the 12 months to April 2022 were € 286,000.
