Ozzy Osbourne says he would be “dead” if it weren’t for his wife Sharon.
The 73-year-old Black Sabbath frontman recently turned up in his hometown of Birmingham to close out the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
Osbourne has spoken out about her marriage in an interview with The Independent, and recently celebrated her 40th wedding anniversary with the former X Factor judge.
When asked about the secret to a happy marriage, he replied: If it wasn’t for Sharon, I would have died. “
He continues: I never stopped.
“People wouldn’t know if I was going through a door, a roof, or a window.
“Now I don’t drink or smoke.
“I’m f******** boring.”
In June, the musician underwent “life-changing” surgery to help with injuries sustained in a 2003 quad bike accident.
Sharon, 69, thanked her fans for their “love and support” leading up to the surgery.
Ozzy, who has a form of Parkinson’s disease, also faced concerns after contracting Covid-19 in April, but has since made a full recovery.
The couple met when Sharon was 18 and married in Hawaii on July 4, 1982.
They have three children, Amy, Jack, and Kelly. Singer Kelly, who duetted with her father on her 2003 UK number one single ‘Changes’, recently announced her own pregnancy.
Ozzy and Sharon have also said they plan to return to the UK after living in Los Angeles for over 20 years, which will be documented in a new BBC series.
Home To Roost is a 10-episode series and revival of the family’s fly-on-the-wall show The Osbournes, which aired from 2002-2005. The show chronicles his life in LA and is known as one of his first reality TV hits. format.
