Bermuda’s Jamin Hodgkins made a string of conversions in the Canada U-20’s 32-24 loss to the Zimbabwe U-20 in the Canada Conference opener at the University of Guelph in Ontario last weekend.

The flyhalf, who has represented the Bermuda Under-19s, is a former student at Warwick Academy and currently attends Cardiff Met University in Wales.

Canada came back from a 20–0 deficit to take the lead in the second half, but were ultimately beaten by their opponents.

Canada U-20 head coach Adam Roberts said:

“The players fought hard in the last 30 minutes, but it was game management and they had to learn these lessons.

“It’s hard to be united in a situation like this, but the game management part is something you have to look at every moment of the game, fight back, and dig deep for the next moment.”

The day’s action started with U20’s Uruguay beating U20’s Chile 27-3.

After the Canadian Under 20 comes the Chilean Under 20 on Thursday.
