Kim Marsh explained that she wanted her Strictly Come Dancing partner, Graziano di Prima, to integrate into the family, and that he was quickly transformed into a “little brother”.

The former Coronation Street star was “back in form” at Saturday’s live show.

The 46-year-old escaped another terrifying dance-off during the results show and is now into week seven of the BBC’s flagship show with partner Di Prima.

She told Hello magazine:

“Graziano comes from a large family and is very family-oriented, so building a friendship was important to us and I wanted to integrate him into the family.

“He fits in really well. Everyone loves him.”

The former Hear’Say singer said performing on Strictly earned him points with his youngest daughter Polly, 11.

“Normally, I embarrass her pretty much. She’s like, ‘Oh my God, I can’t believe anyone knows who my mother is. It’s so embarrassing,'” she said.

Di Prima, 28, from Sicily, adds: Every week Kym invites me to his house and the family prepares Italian food and is very welcoming.

“At the end of the day, when rehearsals are over, I’m alone in the hotel. But Kym knows that, so he invites me in.”
