Kuwait: Kuwaiti painter Mahmud Ashkunani participated in the 30th edition of Ludwig’s International Art Symposium in Hungary. Ashkunani told the media that such international participation reflects the growth of Kuwait’s visual arts scene, and the symposium will screen a documentary, Zari, that presents his work over the last 50 years. He further emphasized the artist’s role in conveying a positive image on behalf of their hometown, stating that Kuwait’s art has a special flare.
