Local authorities have extended the lockdown on the home of a family of three infected with Covid-19 in the Huai Chi Cay neighborhood last night after a fellow resident was found to have tested positive for the coronavirus.
The 57-year-old man’s infection was confirmed three days after the lockdown was supposed to end on Monday, October 31. Edificio Wang Heng is currently closed until Thursday, November 3rd, with the wider area surrounding it also subject to exit restrictions.
Affected streets include 13 R. Um do Bairro da Concordia, 14 R. Dois do Bairro da Concordia and 18 R. do Cmte. Joan Bello.
At the time the fourth case was discovered, the man and his family had already been transferred to the Coloane Department of Health’s Public Health Clinical Center for isolation.
