The Macau Government today announced that due to the current situation in Macau’s Covid-19, all public services and departments will be closed from Monday to Tuesday (June 20 and 21).
At today’s press conference, health officials announced that as of 4 pm today, 21 positive Covid-19s were detected in Macau. Of the 21 cases, 13 were asymptomatic and 8 were symptomatic. Affected individuals range from 8 months to 89 years of age. So far, no source has been found.
Of the 21 cases, 4 have not been vaccinated. Three were vaccinated once with the Covid-19 vaccine, five were vaccinated twice, and nine were vaccinated with the Covid-19 vaccine three times.
Currently, positive cases are divided into two groups. There is a restaurant group consisting mainly of 17 people and a group of 4 people including 3 relatives who frequently meet with 1 person who works at the city’s correction service office.
Health director LoIek Long also said more cases could be found. Authorities are also tracking 238 close contacts in 21 confirmed Covid-19 cases.
Between 12:00 pm and 4:00 pm today, more than 97,500 people were tested at mass NAT in the city. So far, 5,000 NATs have returned negative to Covid-19.
