The Coordination Center for COVID-19 justified in a statement released last night that the relaxation “does not mean that COVID-19 vaccination is unimportant.”

However, it added that individuals arriving from Hong Kong, Taiwan and overseas would still be required to present a negative nucleic acid test (NAT) result and undergo a seven-day quarantine and three-day self-monitoring at a designated hotel. rice field.
Arrivals from Hong Kong and Taiwan must present a negative NAT result obtained in the last 24 hours, while arrivals from abroad must have a NAT result valid for 48 hours.
Macau has just experienced the worst community COVID-19 outbreak since the pandemic began more than two years ago. The most recent outbreak, which began on June 18 and lasted 44 days, had a total of 1,821 new cases in the city, accounting for about 0.3% of the population.
According to the latest official data, 620,567 people in Macau had been vaccinated as of Wednesday, of which 593,315 had hit more than one jab, while 27,252 had only one shot.
