Manchester United have been offered the opportunity to sign Real Madrid’s Marco Asensio.
The 26-year-old is looking to leave Real and is believed to be worth €30million.
United received a €70m contract offer before signing another Real player, Casemiro, and are now pursuing other goals.
As it stands, therefore, playing as a winger or attacking midfielder, it is unlikely that he will sign Asensio, the Spanish international. I don’t want to leave for free.
Asensio is currently working with super-agent Jorge Mendes, who has a large client list that includes Cristiano Ronaldo, and could leave the Bernabéu before the transfer window closes next week.
Anthony has been manager Eric ten Hag’s number one target this summer, with a move to PSV Eindhoven’s Cody Gakpo instead.
United are hoping to make four more signings before the window closes, with a forward, another midfielder, right-back priority and second goalkeeper.
After being turned down by Eintracht Frankfurt’s Kevin Trapp, they are in talks to sign Martin Dubravka from Newcastle United on a one-season loan to take on David De Gea.
