Amsterdam The band said in a statement that lead vocalist Mick Jagger postponed the concert in Amsterdam on Monday after testing positive for COVID-19.

“The Rolling Stones deeply apologize for the postponement tonight, but we must prioritize the safety of our audience, fellow musicians, and tour crews,” they said.

According to the band, 78-year-old Jaguar was experiencing symptoms after arriving at Johan Cruijff Arena in Amsterdam.

The representative of the Mojo concert, which planned a band appearance in the Netherlands, went up to the stage and informed the audience at the arena of the soccer stadium one and a half hours before the concert started.

“He can’t sing or play,” an unknown announcer told fans. “There is no show tonight … what is it.”

Amsterdam was scheduled to be the fourth stop on the “Stone’s Sixtones” European tour after appearing in Liverpool on Thursday.
