Netflix provided Emma Thompson’s first glance as the dreaded Miss Trunchbull in Roald Dahl’s next film, Matilda The Musical.
The streaming giant has released a new trailer for a movie starring an award-winning actress along with a famous British face host.

Lashana Lynch, Stephen Graham, Sindhu Vee, Andrea Riseborough have joined the newcomer Alicia Weir, who plays the title character.
The film adaptations written by Dennis Kelly are adapted from the production of Tony and the Olivier Award-winning Royal Shakespeare Company’s popular musicals.
In the photo released with the trailer, Thompson can be seen in the bullish principal’s tight buns and the famous military-style coat.
This role was played by Welsh actress Pam Ferris in the 1996 original movie Matilda. The film also featured American actors Danny DeVito, Rhea Perlman, and Mara Wilson.

Lynch plays Matilda’s kind teacher Miss Honey, and Vee takes on the role of librarian Phelps, who lends the first book to a precocious child.
Graham and Riseborough play the messy, watching TV, and money-hungry Wormwoods.
This movie will be released in December.
