The city of Oslo, the city of Viken County, and the Norwegian states have agreed in 2024 that there will be new toll negotiations in the Oslo region.
On Wednesday, the Oslo City Walk decided to build the Forneb line on September 1st and January 1st, 2024, raising tolls by a total of 40%.
Sirin Stuff (MDG), a councilor of the Environmental Transport Agency, told Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK) that there would have been an increase without the project budget gap. Tolls also fund the provision of new metro signal systems, Majorstuen station upgrades, tram and metro maintenance, bike paths, and the best possible routes in Oslo and Westran.
“We’ve been solving the challenges for the next few years, and then we need to look at ways to fund the most important public transport projects in our area,” Stav told national broadcasters. Told.
She added that in 2024, more stringent prioritization of projects and further increases in tolls need to be discussed.
