Hailed as a “breath of fresh air” by its two lead actors, the daytime police drama Hope Street returns to our screens next week.
The Northern Ireland-based show returns for a second series after proving to be a hit with national and international audiences.
Set in the fictional seaside town of Port Divine and filmed in picturesque Donaghadee, the first series averaged 1.7 million viewers per episode.
Viewers can expect to learn the fate of Captain Finn O’Hare, played by Ciarán McMenamin, after a dramatic cliffhanger in the final episode of Season 1.

Fermanagh-born McMenamin said being on the series “revived” her love of acting, adding, “I’ve got the absolute ball.”
Speaking to reporters ahead of the series’ restart, along with other members of the cast, he was keen to shoot the film in his hometown of Northern Ireland.
