Public bus passenger numbers will be limited to less than 60% of capacity to prevent Covid-19 from spreading in the future.

According to the District Transport Bureau (DSAT), if the bus is 60% full, the bus driver will not pick up the passengers. At that point, the bus driver should notify his manager so that additional buses can be dispatched as soon as possible.

Bus passenger numbers have recently dropped to less than 30% of what they were before the outbreak, but the daily frequency of buses remains around 70%.

The agency has two public bus companies in the city to ask all Macau drivers to keep the occupancy of each bus below 60% to further protect passengers and drivers from the novel. He said he was coordinating with Transmac and TCM. Coronavirus, Macau Post Daily reported.
