Thousands of music fans flocked to the beach for Victorious Festival, headlined by Paolo Nutini and Sam Fender.

The weekend’s event kicked off on Friday with Welsh rockers Stereophonics playing an assortment of their greatest hits to the Southsea, Hampshire crowd, including Have A Nice Day.

Crowds were seen passing by the 65,000-ton Royal Navy aircraft carrier HMS Prince of Wales on Saturday afternoon as it departed Portsmouth Naval Base for exercises off the US coast.
