Paul Hollywood, the Great British Bake Off Judge, has described his fame as “terrifying” after more than a decade at an amateur baking show.

The 56-year-old famous chef has been a judge for the Amateur Baking Competition Show since its launch in 2010.

Hollywood told the Radio Times if fame was a positive experience:

“Anyway, I’ve always been fighting the word” celebrity “. Until I was 40, I never expected to be on TV.

“This came out of nowhere, so we need to adapt to it.

“There is no school to go to learn how to deal with the media and your daily life, and how to block it without being engrossed and upset.

“You just have to grow very thick skin. Now I have crocodile-like skin.”

The British Bake Off started on BBC Two and remained on the 4 Series channel.

After gaining popularity, we moved to BBC One in the following three series.

Despite the difficulties Hollywood faced after the show’s notoriety, he remains positive about its future and has no doubts about what makes it popular.

“I always knew we were just frames. The bakery is the picture,” he said.

“People want to hear what we have to say about them, but the center is always the bakery and their bakery.

“I hope Master Chef will do what he did after cutting the Star Baker apron.

“I have taken hundreds of challenges in 13 years, and we are not nearing the end.”
