The day after Billie Eilish became the youngest solo artist in history, Paul McCartney will be the oldest solo headliner at the Glastonbury Festival.
His ex-Beatles headline show takes place just a week after he celebrates his 80th birthday and over 60 years of music production.
Prior to the history-making set on the Pyramid Stage, McCartney performed a surprise preview performance at an intimate venue in Fromm, Somerset, where he played some of his most famous solo material.

For the past few months, McCartney has been playing in the United States for his Gottback tour, and Jon Bon Jovi is attending his show in New Jersey.

His performance is expected to attract a particularly large audience and could rival the performances of the Rolling Stones in 2013 and Adele in 2016.

Annie Shuttleworth, a meteorologist at the Met Office, told PA News Agency:
