Police: Two 19-year-olds died in a motorcycle accident in Jesdal

The Southwest Police District announced Saturday morning that a 19-year-old woman and man had died in a motorcycle accident in Jessdal, Logalan.

The accident happened on the road between Ortedal and Dadal. Police were notified of the accident at 1:42 am on Sunday, but the cause of the accident is unknown.

On Sunday morning, police said they were both 19 years old.

“The man was from the city of Sandnes and the woman was from Jessdal. Relatives are now notified of the dead,” Operations Manager Brit Randolph wrote in a press release.

Police forensic technicians and the Norwegian Public Road Authority accident group have completed work on site. The Fylkesvei 450 Hunnedalsvegen was closed for several hours at Ragsvatnet in Gjesdal due to an accident, but roads became open on Sunday morning.
